Photosynth
Imagine your standing on a gorgeous beach. You want to get a panoramic view of the beach, so you can show your friends back home. The only issue is that the iPhone does not have a panoramic setting on the camera, so how will you get these shots to show people where you have been? Well, the solution is to simply download the free Photosynth app from the app store!
Yet another “cheesy opening” but hear me out guys, this app is amazing. The user interface on this app is outstanding. It is easy to use and there is only a small amount of text you need to read through, which shows you how the app works. When you launch the app you are greeted with your past panoramic clips.
You do not need to sign up for this app, but you do have the option to sign in with your Windows Live ID, which is a nice feature to have.
To start stitching together your panoramic shots, you just load up the camera part of the app and take pictures continuously until you do a fully 360 degrees turn. It will then instanstly start stitching your images together. You can then view your panorama straight from the app! You can scroll through it, and use the pinch to zoom feature, which allows you to zoom up on certain areas of your picture. Once your done you can share it to Facebook, Bing maps, or upload it to the official PhotoSynth website!
This app is not for everyone, but if you are looking for a good, free app that will take good panoramic pictures. This is the app for you!
